The concept of greater and lesser evil is prevalent in political, ideological, and religious discussions. The apparent reason behind this is that both parties recognize they do not possess an absolute, objective truth. They have truth mixed up with evil. The point of contention between them is who has a lesser proportion of evil. It is undeniable evidence that, generally speaking, the foundation of political, religious, and ideological systems is not in objective truth. These are fundamentally made-up views and opinions designed for purposes other than truth.
Most of the so-called leaders in politics, organized religions, and made-up ideologies realize that it is nearly impossible for people to accept pure evil. Even if they have the chance to enforce pure evil, it will quickly wither away in pure chaos. On the other hand, they do not want to advocate for pure objective truths because they know that those will be the end of all confusion, conflict, violence, crime, fraud, and war. That will put them out of business very quickly. So, they come up with different so-called mixtures of objective truth and evil. One that can easily deceive people with the false notion of moral superiority and keep their business highly profitable as well.
So, you often hear claims like “Capitalism is great, but it needs some regulations.” By regulations, they mean that Capitalism must remain under the claws of people with coercive authority. They hardly ever address why, logically, because there is no logical answer to this why. Why would you place the most successful economic system in the entire human history under an institution that has failed countless times, the government? The answers to this question are usually so wildly stupid that one wonders why they are even making those arguments. However, with the help of crony media, academia, experts, bureaucrats, technocrats, and gurus, they manage to convince quite a few people.
The standard answer to this question is that the war in the markets is not good. Amazing. War is purely a political phenomenon. There has never been a war in free markets. There is no mass murdering, there is no bloodshedding, there is no head chopping, there is no bombing, there are no sanctions, and there are no blockades. Why? Because businesses do not have any authority to do those things.

Additionally, these things are so expensive and destructive to markets that no profit-seeking, sane person would ever want them to happen. What they mean by war is competition. Competition is often presented as an evil, while the historical fact is that nothing has benefited humans more than unbridled competition in free markets. I mean, the progress in the last two or three centuries under Capitalism completely overshadows the entire progress made by humans over the past 250,000 years. However, the real wars between governments and organized religions have caused incredible damage to the lives, families, economies, wealth, infrastructure, and societal structure. That is really the worst thing.
Another argument against competition is the so-called market failures. They have invented a new term, “Perfect Competition,” and market failures are supposedly happening because the competition in markets is not perfect. Their definition of ideal competition essentially means that everyone produces the same products with the same materials, sells at the exact locations, distributes them using the same means, and presents them with the same appearance, all while charging the same prices. Anyone who has an IQ above fifty would reject these completely idiotic arguments right away. I mean, there goes all ingenuity, creativity, innovation, inventions, intelligence, and incentive out of the way. Imagine all stores in the world look the same, offering the same products, prices, quality, materials, and level of service. First of all, this goal, as with all the goals of the left, is impossible to achieve. It did not happen even in Socialist countries, where governments had complete control over the means of production. The cost of acquiring raw materials varies in different locations. A place may have anywhere from zero to unlimited availability of specific materials. Even within a given geography, availability can change with the seasons, and the availability of qualified and skilled personnel varies significantly due to many factors. If a product is made with the same materials everywhere, imagine how high the demand will be for that material. Hence, the cost of those materials will be excruciatingly high? Those materials will still be cheaper to acquire, where they are produced, while much more expensive on the other side of the world.
How would your life be if there were only one type of bread that looked, tasted, cost, smelled, and felt the same? First of all, it is impossible in the real world, even if we suppose that this goal is achieved, how boring it will be! What if there is only one type of eggs everywhere because all the chickens producing other kinds of eggs were killed to guarantee perfect competition? First of all, it is impossible to obtain the same size and color eggs from all chickens all the time. Even if only the ideal eggs are allowed in the market to ensure perfect competition, how rare will eggs become, and how expensive will they be?
What if all the shirts in the entire world look the same? They are made with the same cloth, have the same color, the same size, the same design, and are cut and stitched with exact precision. This too is impossible. Even if we assume that this target is achieved, how will it be possible to provide those shirts at the same price everywhere in the world? I mean, the same price where raw material like cotton is obtained and the places where those are produced versus the distant parts of the globe? Plus, how boring that world is going to be, particularly for women?
Suppose all the houses in the world need to be destroyed because every home must be the same as the other to have perfect competition. What will be the cost? How will it be possible? And how boring it will be to walk or drive down a street?
